I don’t know about you, but I dread this time of year. No, it’s not the shortening of our daylight hours or the dropping of the temperatures, or that white stuff that falls from the sky. Instead it’s something you can’t escape, as it bombards our TVs and radios, knocks on our front doors and calls us on our phones—yup, it’s high season for politics, with a crowded field of candidates for President each trying to convince us why he or she is our next great hope. How as Christians do we navigate these times? How involved should we get? And how do we escape the inevitable debates that quickly turn into arguments as we get together with family over the holidays?
